Dr. Timothy Mackey
Dr. Mackey is originally from a small town in eastern Kentucky. He first served as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army, moving on to graduate from medical school in 2001 from Ohio University. Dr. Mackey completed his residency training in Internal Medicine in St. Petersburg, FL. He returned to Cincinnati to work as an urgent care physician with a large urgent care group for eight years, while also gaining additional experience in private practice family care. He moved to Key West five years ago and joined Truman Medical Center. Dr. Mackey is now the sole owner of Truman Medical Center, celebrating his two year anniversary this month, June 2017. Dr. Mackey is a Member of Florida Osteopathic Medical Association. He is certified with the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners, a certification required to be able to perform commercial driver medical evaluations for the U.S. Department of Transportion (He was the first physician in the Florida Keys to achieve this certification). He is a Civil Surgeon for the Department of Homeland Security, qualified to determine medical clearance for individuals seeking to become legal immigrants into the United States.. And he has just been chosen to be the team physician for the Key West High School Fighting Conch's football program. He is bilingual, speaking English and German (and learning more and more Spanish every day!).
